How to: Set up WhatsApp Business on two phones

Setting up the WhatsApp Business account on multiple phones is relatively simple. Follow the steps described to use the WhatsApp Business account on multiple phones at the same time:

  1. First, you need to make sure that you have the latest version of WhatsApp Business installed on all the phones you want to use the account on.
  2. Open the app on your main device and go to "Settings" > "Linked devices". On some phones, the "Linked Devices" selection is also displayed directly as a menu item next to "Settings".
  3. Scan the QR code displayed on the screen with your other cell phone.
  4. Once you scan the QR code, your WhatsApp Business account will be automatically activated on the other phone.
  5. Repeat this process for all other phones on which you want to use the account. The maximum number is currently limited to 4 devices.


Instruction: Remove linked cell phones again

If you have already linked several phones, it is certainly also helpful to know how to remove them again. To do so, follow these instructions:

  1. Open WhatsApp settings
  2. Select the menu item "Linked devices"
  3. Select the cell phone to be removed from
  4. Click on "log out

Tips when using the WhatsApp business account on two phones

Once you have set up your WhatsApp Business account on multiple phones, you can use it without any problems. However, keep in mind that some features are only available on the main device. These include creating backups and changing settings, for example.

Here are some tips and hints on how to best use your WhatsApp Business account on multiple phones:

  1. Use the main device for all important activities such as creating backups and changing settings.
  2. Creating or viewing broadcast lists works only on the main device, not on accompanying phones.
  3. Use the other phones for daily use, such as sending and receiving messages.
  4. Use the "Synchronize" function to ensure that all devices are at the same level. This function can be found under "Settings" > "WhatsApp Web/Desktop" > "Synchronize".
  5. Use a stable Internet connection to ensure that your messages are delivered quickly and reliably and that your phones are always synchronized with each other.

With the multi-device feature of WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business, you can link up to four additional devices to your account at the same time. It doesn't matter whether they are cell phones, desktop PCs or laptops.
