1) Open the Instagram profile page and click on "Edit profile".

2) Click on "Contact options

3) In this section you can enter your contact information, such as email, phone number, address and recently WhatsApp.

4) Click on "WhatsApp

5) Here you need to enter the number associated with WhatsApp Business, to which the verification code will then be sent.

6) Enter the verification code on the Instagram profile.

Now, the new WhatsApp button should appear, allowing all users who visit your Instagram profile to get in touch with your business with just one click.

Note: To make only the WhatsApp button appear, you need to remove all other contact options (phone number and email).

Alternative ways to link WhatsApp and Instagram

If you don't have the prerequisites to add the WhatsApp button, there are some useful alternatives you can use to draw Instagram users' attention to your WhatsApp account.

1) The first alternative is to insert the WhatsApp link in the bio: first you need to create a WhatsApp link. Then click on "Edit profile" in your Instagram profile and paste the created link in the "Website" section.
This way, a clickable link will appear in the bio of your Instagram profile, which will redirect potential customers directly to the WhatsApp chat.

2) The second alternative is to use Stories with a link to WhatsApp. Here you need to create a Story with the WhatsApp logo image and insert the WhatsApp link (created before) that can be clicked within the Story. Then, simply paste the story into the "Highlighted Stories" section and rename it with the name "WhatsApp" or "Contact us via WhatsApp". The Story will be permanently displayed on your Instagram profile, allowing potential customers to easily contact your business.
