There are several options to add more WhatsApp phone numbers. All options have their own advantages and disadvantages. It doesn't matter if the added number is a mobile number, a landline number or possibly the number of the second SIM card in the cell phone.
This option does not allow you to be reachable via WhatsApp Business on multiple numbers, but at least you can use a WhatsApp Business account on the same device on which your private WhatsApp account is already installed - and with a different phone number.
Prerequisite: You already have a private WhatsApp account on your smartphone
1. download and install WhatsApp Business on your smartphone from the App Store(Google Play Store / Apple App Store).
2. open WhatsApp and agree to the terms of use
Enter the desired phone number. A landline number is also possible. In the first small field after the "+" the country code ("49" for Germany) must be entered, this replaces the first 0 of the phone number.
Tap on "Next", check the number and tap on "OK".
WhatsApp will now send an SMS with authentication code by default. If you have entered a landline number, you must select the "Let me call" option.
6. an SMS is received on the cell phone with the specified phone number, or a call is received on the landline phone, with a 6-digit authentication code that must be entered in the app.
If the code is entered correctly, the profile can then be set up and WhatsApp can be used. Whether you used a cell phone number or a landline number during setup is irrelevant when using WhatsApp.
By the way: You can also use WhatsApp on multiple devices at the same time and use WhatsApp Business with the desktop app or the browser app WhatsApp Web.
This option can only be implemented for the standard version for WhatsApp, not for WhatsApp Business. Furthermore, it only works on devices with Android operating system and with a maximum of one additional phone number. The following instructions are tailored to Samsung devices. The procedure is similar for other Android smartphones.
As can be seen from the previous two options, WhatsApp blocks the use of multiple WhatsApp Business numbers quite successfully. There are tricks to use WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business on the same smartphone at the same time and to use the standard version of WhatsApp with two numbers, but to use WhatsApp Business with more than one number you need the WhatsApp API.
